A major update with new features and bugfixes. All A2 customers are encouraged to upgrade to this build.
Features and Improvements
- Adjustable BlockSize (from 512KB - 8MB)
- Read-only mode to prevent backup and maintenance operations during sensitive restore situations
- Improved ABD "IP Conflict" error detection and avoidance
- Add drive/volume exclusion to Q-Hybrid jobs
- Improved log collection/reporting for error analysis
- Added capability for GFS database recovery/repair
- Support for manual routes added to the A2 console
- Maintenance operations are now allowed to run when no other tasks are active
- A2 settings are archived to the ADS on a scheduled basis
- Allow forced support of SMB1 for all Q-Hybrid targets (remote support configuration required)
- Allow selection of which IP Alike agents (ABD & Q-Hybrid) will use when the A2 has multiple NICs
Bug Fixes
- Detect and properly log kernel deadlock scenarios
- Fixed volume size arithmetic for oddly sized Q-Hybrid volume backups
- Properly handle excessively long VSS snapshot creation times
- Prevent spurious job errors when VM in job is no longer in existence
- Improved log clarity and accuracy for various job error scenarios
- No longer report false "remote process errors"
- Eliminated rare "double" backup of Windows system partition backup with Q-Hybrid
- Fixed bug where ADS password changes did not properly save
- Report socket in use errors properly on startup
- Max Offsite versions setting (per VM) correctly displays in UI
- Handle/retry XAPI disconnection errors in many more situations (backup, replication, and enumeration)
- Tag based enumeration timing error minimized/eliminated
- Engine can now handle uuid.list files greater than 32KB in size
- ABD based restores now have keep-alive enabled to avoid cancellations due to lengthy delays
- Hyper-V backups no longer error with "call to empty function" on initial jobs
- Q-Hybrid cleanup process improved
- Avoid potential "double start" of A2 services on startup
- Q-Hybrid backups of MBR based system drives no longer have the potential to crash
- Hyper-V CBT based jobs now correctly process the block list files in all cases
- Q-Hybrid backups properly retry failed I/O operations to the A2 data engine
- Backups of suspended VMs no longer attempt to perform 'Disk and Memory' backup
Known Issues
- SSL authentication to XenServer option does not work
- "alike" user for RestoreFS does not always change password properly
- LVM file-level restore not supported for RestoreFS (full restores are supported)
- Deleting an entire VM from the UI will remove it to be lost from any configured jobs
- Dashboard graph empty on first day after initial install and setup
